Bruno Oliveira shines among the best in the world in Zuera

Last weekend saw the second race of the Spanish Championships in Zuera, which included the main official teams who lined up their best drivers to prepare for the World race which will take place at the same track in September. Names like Lance Stroll (the Canadian driver supported by Ferrari), Alex Palou, Russia's Nikita Mazepin, Alex Tiktum (UK) and the French Dorian Boccolacci, among others, were present and impressed with their performance and the technical and logistic equipment they have at their disposal. Bruno Oliveira showed throughout the free practice and classification rounds consistent evolution on a fast track which requires good technical skills. The 5th best time in the warm up on Sunday (at an average speed of 98.4km/h), 0.4 seconds from the leader and 0.2 seconds faster than Lance Stroll, driver from the Chiesa Corse factory, which left no doubt about the Leirian driver's good form. Bruno Oliveira, the only driver flying the Portuguese flag in the KF3 category, managed an excellent 8th place in the Final 1 which had a total of 29 drivers. In Final 2, luck was not on his side, after a violent collision from Javier Cobian on the first curve of the race left the Zanardi chassis badly damaged, although thankfully leaving the driver unharmed. The next race will be next weekend in Leiria, at the Milagres track. It is the second race of the National Championships in which the runner up National Champion will defend his second place position after the race in Braga.
